Inter Department Volleyball tourney (Women) concludes at KU | KNO

Srinagar, June 29 (KNO) : Department of Social Work KU defeated Department of Statistics KU by 3 sets to 1set in the final match of the Inter Department Volleyball Tournament (Women) during a tough competition between the two teams. Arifa from Dept of Social Work KU and Tahira from Statistics dept played exceptionally well throughout the tournament for their respective teams.10 teams from different Departments of the University of Kashmir participated in the event. According to a statement issued to KNO, Dr. Nisar Ahmad khan Coordinator, Directorate of Physical Education and Sports distributed prizes among the players of both finalist teams and congratulated the winning team and encouraged the Women players for their participation in the tournament. Nadeem Ahmad Dar Assistant Director Directorate of Physical Education and Sports along with the faculty members of Department of Social work and Statistics were also present on the occasion. The tournament was conducted under the supervision of Muneer Alam volleyball coach of the Directorate.(KNO)
